ISAGS promotes new Dialogues of the South on PHC and the importance of intercultural health in South America29/10/2018

ISAGS opens its doors to an event that promotes dialogue on interculturality in Primary Health Care (PHC). The debate will be in the context of the Declaration of Astana and the invisibility of intercultural health in the application of PHC, as well as its relevance for the construction of equity in health in the region.
On this occasion, on 08/11/2018, we will have the participation of:
– Madel Therezinha Luz – Professor at UERJ and UFF Rio de Janeiro, leader of the CNPq Group on Health Rationality: Complex Medical Systems and complementary and integrative practices, of the Community Health Institute (UFF).
– Juan Bacigalupo – Bachelor in collective health and Master in health education. Researcher in education for intercultural health and member of CeLASSAN-UNILA.
– Andrea Madrid Menéndez – Researcher and PhD student at the University of Sheffield, England, focused on traditional medicine practices of indigenous populations in the Ecuatorian Amazon.
– Dra Vivian Camacho – M.D and Surgeon specialized in intercultural health, Coordinator of Health of the Peoples Bolivia and Member of the High Level Commission, 40 years of Alma Ata for PAHO.
