USAN intervention entitled "The health agenda for development post 2015", developed by South American Council of Health through the 68th World Health Assembly held between May 18 and 26, 2015, Geneva, Switzerland. Main points of the document, stress the reiteration of USAN member countries to care for health occupies a central place in the development agenda post 2015 and that it keeps progressing to achieve the proposed goals. It also stresses that the bloc has advanced extensively in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), although there are still great challenges, especially with regard to health. Also states the support for the work developed by the Open Group of the General Assembly on the goals of sustainable development, as well as the incorporation of Universal Coverage and Access to Health in the context of the social determinants of health and the reduction of inequalities. Pays attention to the need for inter-sectoral work, fundamental for achieving good health and recognizes the responsibility of the health sector in connection with the other goals in the agenda post - 2015. Finally, we reiterate our commitment to strengthening health systems to qualify the scope of goals of the post-2015 Agenda. Document only available in Spanish.
